March 24, 1998 Anson Dorrance Named To 1999 Fifa Women's World Cup Advisory Board LOS ANGELES -- Anson Dorrance has been named to the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup Advisory Board. Dorrance, 46, becomes the 14th member of the WWC Advisory Board. "We are pleased that Anson has accepted our invitation to join the Advisory Board of the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup," said Messing. "His tremendous contribution to the sport in evidenced by the continued success of the National Team program he helped build and the growth of women's soccer at all levels in the United States."
