A limited number of individual match date tickets for all six venues of the FIFA Women's World Cup USA 2003 go on sale Friday (Aug. 15) at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT at www.FIFAworldcup.com.

Each match date consists of an afternoon or evening doubleheader, except the Third Place Match on Oct. 11 and the Final on Oct. 12, which will both be played as stand-alone games at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.

Individual match date tickets range in price from $20 to $175 (and up to $400 for the final), depending on the USA's involvement and the stage of the three-week competition. In addition to FIFAworldcup.com, fans can purchase these tickets over the phone by calling 1-800-WWC-TIKS (992-8457) for five of the six venues and 202-432-SEAT (7328) or 1-800-551-SEAT (7328) for tickets at RFK Stadium.

Tickets can also be purchased at the stadium ticket office of all six venues during normal business hours. Discount tickets for groups of 50 or more will also be available starting Friday by calling 312-528-1290. [Special Note: Tickets for the USA Group A showdown with North Korea on Sept. 28 in Columbus are limited to 8 per customer. Tickets for the Final on Oct. 12 in Carson, Calif., are limited to 6 per customer.]

To ensure a chance to get tickets before they sell out, fans can still purchase venue series tickets through this Wednesday (Aug. 13) at 11:30 p.m. (local time). Venue series tickets are priced from $50 to $660 and include all match dates played at a specific venue.

As expected U.S. Soccer started private ticket sales that includes MLS and WUSA season ticket holders on Wednesday

Ticket packages for the 2003 Women's World Cup went on private sale Wednesday via Ticketmaster. Individual ticket sales to the general public start July 19th.

For the private sale tickets are good for all games at a venue. Prices range from $50 for three games at Foxboro, Massachusetts to $160 to $660 for five games at Carson, California including the October 12th. Cup Final and a September 1st. USA-Costa Rica exhibition game.

Prices for single-game tickets haven't been released. Pairings are to be announced in July. MLS and WUSA season ticketholders can buy tickets now and those registering at ussoccer.com can buy tickets before the public sale.

Ordering tickets for matches

According to U.S. Soccer : registered members of ussoccerfan.com, the official site of U.S. soccer fans, will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets to the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup. To register, fans need to simply sign up on the Web site.

On June 16, 2003 it was stated that by U.S. Soccer : Ticketing details will be announced shortly and will include a private pre-sale for members of the U.S. Soccer community.
