Game

The CyberRays came out firing but their shots at goal were all close but not in, and that became the way the game continued for them. Creative but unable to finish. The Spirit on the other hand had few chances but what they had they put away, and then their fine defensive play kept them ahead.

Fawcett in her second WUSA match was named as player of the match for her well taken goal and steadying influence on the team.

Although she played quite well it seemed questionable to risk her in this physically played match, considering the outstanding and strong play of the national team veteran Szpara in the previous game.
