San Diego's WUSA Team appreciates Fans who showed faith and support

In appreciation of the San Diego Spirit inaugural season ticket holders, the club announced today that the majority of all ticket renewals or upgrades purchased before the October 1, 2001 deadline will be available at inaugural season prices. Barring manifest changes, the ticket offer applies to 99% of the season ticket base of over 2,000 fans.

Inaugural season ticket holders will have the first chance to keep to keep their seats from last year. In addition, holders will receive benefits including saving between 15-20% off

day-of-game ticket prices and other premium benefits. The popular VIP seat benefits also include a 20% savings off day-of-game ticket prices, a special VIP concession line and many other upgraded benefits.

New season ticket sales, which will include a nominal price increase, will be opened to the public on October 1, 2001. Fans who are on the waiting list will have first priority and then seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans who are interested in being placed on the priority waiting list should contact the Spirit ticket office and submit a $50 non-refundable deposit.

The 21-game season is expected to begin in April 2002. Individual game ticket prices will be announced at a later date.
