The
New York Power shut-out the Boston Breakers 3-0 in their first post
season exhibition match under new Head Coach Tom Sermanni.
It
began with a goal from Power leader Tiffeny Milbrett as she took
a pass from Tammy Pearman, and chipped the ball over the Boston
keeper. Three minutes into the second half Milbrett crossed a ball
for Pearman to head home. Newly
acquired Margaret Tietjen finished off the win with a cross for
Minna Mustonen to head in.
