Charge take on the New York Power on Monday night at Villanova Stadium

The Philadelphia Charge hope to continue their winning ways at home this Monday, July 30 at 7:05 p.m., when they take on league leading scorer Tiffeny Milbrett and the New York Power at Villanova Stadium.

Philadelphia (7-6-3, 24 points) strengthened its hold on fourth place in the WUSA standings with a 2-0 victory Thursday night over the Washington Freedom. The Charge moved four points ahead of fifth-place Washington and
Carolina and remained two points behind New York (7-5-5), which owns third place.

This will be the third and final match-up between the Charge and Power. In the first meeting on Mother's Day, Rebekah McDowell and Rakel Karvelsson scored second-half goals as Philadelphia rallied to force a 2-2 tie. The Charge also fell behind by two goals in the rematch on Father's Day, but could only muster one tally in dropping a 2-1 decision.

Charge midfielder Lorrie Fair will have another opportunity on Monday toline up against her twin sister Ronnie, who is a defender for the Power. The Fairs each started in the teams' first encounter, but Lorrie was forced to sit out the second match due to a strained hamstring.

Former Penn State University women's soccer coach Pat Farmer will be making his first appearance in Philadelphia as New York's head coach. Farmer, who had been Penn State's only women's soccer coach since the program's inception in 1994, compiled a 123-34-8 record and led the Nittany Lions to three Big Ten Conference titles and seven straight NCAA
Tournament appearances.

The FIFA 1999 Women's World Cup Trophy will be on display in the Fun Zone on Monday. Fans will have an opportunity to take pictures of the trophy, which the United States proudly captured on Brandi Chastain's dramatic penalty kick vs. China two summers ago. The FIFA 1999 Women's World Cup Trophy isbeing presented courtesy of the National Soccer Hall of Fame, which will also distribute free posters and admission coupons to its facility in
Oneonta, N.Y. There will also be a 1999 U.S. National Team reunion ceremony prior to the game with Fair, Charge goalkeeper Saskia Webber, and New York's Milbrett, Christie Pearce and Sara Whalen.
