Game Report:

The Freedom scored first when Jones passed to Bai Jie who found Little open on the right. She slid it pass Gao for the lead. Less than 10 minutes later Makinen converted a free kick from 40 yards to gve them a comfortable advantage by halftime. A substituted Hamm put the game out of reach Hamm getting her own rebound twice in front of the goal.

Substitute Pearman put the Power on the scoreboard as she put one past Freedom keeper Erin Fahey, who entered the game at halftime due to an injury to starting keeper Siri Mullinix.  Hamm piled it on with another goal in stoppage time.

The Freedom team spoiled interim Head Coach Charlie Duccilli WUSA debut.

The Power are back in action on July 7th when they travel to Philadelphia to take on the first place Charge.
