Philadelphia Charge adds Icelandic National Team member Margret Olafsdottir to their roster

She becomes the fourth and final international player the Charge are permitted to carry on their 20 player roster.

Olafsdottir, 24, has made 44 appearances with Iceland's National Team since 1993, scoring seven goals. She has also starred for the Breidblik club team of Iceland's first division since 1991, leading them to six league titles. The team is located in her hometown of Kopavogur. Olafsdottir is an Icelandic National Team teammate of Charge midfielder Rakel Karvelsson, who is a duel citizen of the United States and Iceland.

"Margret is a talented and multi-dimensional player," said Charge head coach Mark Krikorian. "She can play a lot of different positions for us and brings experience at the international level to the team."

Olafsdottir and the Charge will conclude their exhibition schedule thisTuesday, April 17 at 7:05 p.m., when they take on the New Jersey Lady Stallions of the W-1 League. The match will be played at Mercer County Park in West Windsor Township, N.J. Admission is free. Karvelsson and forward Kelly Smith are former members of the Stallions.
