WUSA names Freedom's Mia Hamm as Player of the Week
Mia Hamm named
as WUSA Player of the Week for games played Monday, July 9, through
Sunday, July 15. She led the Freedom to a 1-1 record for the week,
scoring three goals in two games and totaling 8 shots on goal. Hamm
now has 5 goals and 4 assists in 14 games played. It is the second
time this season Hamm has been named Player of the Week, capturing
the honor in the second week of the season.
The Freedom
heads to California to take on the Bay Area CyberRays this Sunday,
and they will be back at RFK Stadium on Thursday, July 26th at 7pm
to play the Philadelphia Charge.
