April 7, 2003 Mia Hamm named WUSA league's MET-Rx Player of the Week She scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Washington's away defeat of Caroilina 2-1 last weekend. Her free kick into the penalty area allowed Abby Wambach to even up the match, and scored the game winner thirty minutes from time. Her outstanding defensive tracking in the match demonstrated her complete recovery from injury and surgery.
