Carolina
1 Washington 2 as Hamm clicks with an assist and goal in away victory
for Freedom
With Carolina dominating the game the first halp after an early
lead at 9 minutes with a goal by Canadian Burtini, it took a while
for the Freedom to unleash their fast front line. But two set plays
changed the game , as Hamm droppped a superbly hit ball in front
of Pretinha, and then in the waning minutes hit a curving ball through
the top of the Pride wall to capture the win. She becomes the first
U.S. player to score in this young WUSA season. A typical homecoming
celebration by Hamm.
