WUSA to have
a voting player representative on its Board of Governors
In a move
that demonstrates the league players active involvement in WUSA
management, a player representative will be chosen by the WUSA founding
players to represent all of the league's players as a member of
the Board of Governors.
"The goal of
the WUSA Board of Governors was to create a league, which from day
one, would give its players direct input into all aspects of its
operation," said Hendricks. "Our founding players have been playing
a vital role in the formation of the WUSA and will now have a unique
opportunity to help shape the direction of the league for years
to come."
