Washington Freedom face a tough away game
in Chapel Hill
Forget the
return of Mia Hamm to her alma mater, the real challenge for the
Freedom will be going into an area that supports women's soccer
with a vengeance. Carolina Courage will be a major away test for
the D.C. Squad, and should draw a big television audience on TNT.
Freedom players
will be doing their usual things in the community this week at various
events, including autograph signing by Tracy Milburn and Erin Fahey
at the ESRA Health & Fitness Fair at the Department of Agriculture
in the Whitten Building today (Wednesday).
Siri Mullinix
will be at the third anniversary of the Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource
and Imaging Center the Thursday in Columbia, MD. The Freedom recently
helped raise money for the Center when they played in the Kicks
Against Breast Cancer tournament.
The same day, Monica Gerardo and Louise Lieberman will conduct a
soccer demonstration for the students at a Celebration of Soccer
at the Georgian Forest Elementary School in Silver Spring, MD.
