Some of the WUSA players in action recently win the DFB Jubilee Tournament at Braunschweig, Germany

Foudy's score in the 57th minute of play gave the USA its sixth trophy of the year. The 1-0 shutout was a milestone for U.S. goalkeeper Siri Mullinix (WUSA-Wash. D.C.), as it marked her 12th shutout of the year, equaling the mark set by teammate Briana Scurry (WUSA-Atlanta) in 1998 The DFB Jubilee final match marked the return to the U.S. lineup of Michelle Akers (WUSA-Orlando), who had been sidelined recovering from shoulder surgery. Akers played the final 32 minutes replacing Brandi Chastain (WUSA-SF Bay Area) and had two scoring chances. In the DFB final, Kate Sobrero (WUSA-Boston) was taken out of the game at the 38-minute mark after colliding with a German player and Mullinix. She was briefly knocked unconscious, but did walk off the field and was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons. Joy Fawcett (WUSA-San Diego) and Christie Pearce (WUSA-NY) were mainstays on the backline once again for the USA as they helped hold Germany to just three shots
