University
of Pennsylvania Head Coach Darren Ambrose joins Philadelphia Charge
as an asssistant coach
Staying in
state, Charge Head Coach Krikorian named University of Pennsylvania
coach Darren Ambrose as an assistant coach. Also joining the Charge
staff are strength and conditioning coaches Duane Carlisle and Antonio
Davis.
Krikorian
and assistant coaches Pia Sundhage and John Natale go to San Diego
next week where the Charge will hold a training camp beginning March
1st. A total of 28 women will be invited to try out for one of 20
spots on the inaugural roster.
Darren
Ambrose
Ambrose will coach the Charge goalkeepers this season in addition
to his responsibilities at Penn. He led the Quakers to a 10-8-1
record and the ECAC Tournament title in 2000 during his first year
at the school. Four of his players received All-Ivy League honors,
including two second team members.
Duane Carlisle
Carlisle is
the executive director of Lightning Fast Training Systems, LLC.
He is also the director of the strength and conditioning program
at Lawrenceville School in New Jersey and is the speed consultant
for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Antonio
Davis
Davis is the regional director of Lightning Fast Training
Systems, LLC.He is a former four-time NCAA All-American track &
field performer at Penn State University.
