Game
The first half was a dull mixture of physical attacking play by the Courage with too brief skilful, soccer savvy play by Burtini. The Beat looked disorganised but some outstanding defensive play by Nonen kept them in the game.

The second half started off more positive for Atlanta with Hooper's zinging shot hitting the crossbar. Soon afterwards Fotopoulos surprised with a great feed across the box for Burt to put the home team up a goal. From there on, as is often seem with players whose game is mainly physical in nature, they faded the rest of the match.

Hooper equalised with a deftly taken chip over an ongoing keeper, after receiving a well served ball fro Biven on the right wing that had been smartly sentby Cagle. After that the game belonged to Atlanta, especially to Hooper who is one of the top players in the world. With great support from Serlenga, Bivens, and Augustiniak the match could have been their's but for some of the weakest officiating seen so far. The pace of the game was just too fast for them, and they were often caught behind the play which probably was the reason for some strange decisions.
