Game

In yet another top level WUSA match from teams in the top half of the table, the home team stopped Washington's Bai and Hamm from breaking the game open by tight physical, marking by their defense.

Except for corner kicks the Freedom were unable to create any cohesive threat against the Beat until th last part of the second half. Again there were excellent oerformances by Sawa and Parton as Atlanta played more more organized than in previous matches. They appear to be improving game by game.
