Game

A mixture of superbly organized attacking play by both teams resulted in four of the best goals seen this year in a span of fifteen minutes early in the beginning of the first half.

The second half brought a change in style for the CyberRays that was quickly matched by the Beat who had the best chances. As usual the appearance of Sun Wen raised the level of the game and her goal to put the Beat ahead twenty minutes later was a delight.

Just two minutes later Venturini fought her way through to even up the game.

It stayed that way through regular and extra time and in an anti-climax to the rest of the match went to penalty kicks. The team that had seemed to have the edge in the game performed poorly in the penalty kick off with the Bay winning the Cup 4-2 in PKs.
