adidas
to be the official equipment supplier for the San Diego Spirit of
the Women's United Soccer Association
The Spirit
has two players on its roster that have personal endorsement contracts
with adidas in Shannon MacMillan and Joy Fawcett, making the synergism
between the cutting edge soccer equipment company and the Spirit
a natural fit. adidas was the first and only equipment sponsor for
all three FIFA Women's World Cups that have been contested.
The Spirit's
uniforms for the first season will be a specially adapted inline
product with a new, distinct uniform being designed for year two.
The Spirit home uniform kit will feature maroon jerseys, navy shorts
and navy socks. The away strip will be white jersey, navy shorts
and white socks.
