Liu Ailing is the WUSA Player of the Week
for the third time

Charge midfielder Liu Ailing is the first three-time winner of the
WUSA's Player of the Week award for her record-setting in a 5-1 victory
over the Carolina Courage on August 6th.She
gave the Charge a 3-0 halftime lead with goals in the 14th, 37th and
43rd minutes, and assisted on Mandy Clemens' goal in the 48th minute
to finish with a WUSA-record seven points in a match. Liu also established
a league record for most goals in a half.Liu ranks fifth in the league
in goals (10) and seventh in points (22). She joins New York's Tiffeny
Milbrett , and Atlanta's Charmaine Hooper as the only players to record
a hat trick.
