Another Olympic medal for Norway ?

Norwegian defender Anne Toennessen was injured in the Olympic match against Nigeria. She had to leave the tournament and get treatment home in Norway. The local Olympic organizers of the soccer tournament claimed that only the players who took part in the final were qualified to have medals.According to the Norwegian FA´s home page Anne´s mother then wrote a private letter to Olympic President Samaranch. After that the gold medal was sent to Norway.This Saturday the medal was handed over to Anne by FIFA board member Per Ravn Omdal at a ceremony in the Norwegian city of Kolbotn.
