Naomi Stone signs with New England of Women's Premier Soccer League

Former Carolina Courage and Springfield Siren star joins the New England Mutinyof the Eastern Division of WPSL this summer.

The signing helps the Mutiny lineup just prior to the first-ever regular season match in the newly formed Eastern Division of the WPSL.

"I am happy to come back to western Massachusetts," Stone said. " I am looking to get back into WUSA and after weighing all of my options, the deciding factor was the close working relationship between the WPSL and WUSA. So, I

determined that playing for the Mutiny is my best chance to make it back into the league."

A 1997 graduate of the University of Connecticut, where the team reached the Final Four in her senior season, Stone has also played for the New Hampshire Phantoms and Springfield Sirens of the W-League.
