The New England Mutiny of the Eastern Division of the WPSL to form an Under-17 Region I Premier Team

The New England Mutiny will offer a player development training program for female soccer players from Western

Massachusetts and beyond. It will focuses primarily on player development through high quality training and exposure to elite amateur and professional players of the women's game enabling players to practice and play at the highest level

throughout the summer. The players will represent the New England Mutiny in the 2003 USYSA Region I U.S. Youth Director's League.

Selection schedule

Players will be selected after attending an invitational try-out. Twenty-five players will be selected based upon their playing history, recommendations and their performance during the try-out. If successful they will participate in a 11-week development training program run by the New England Mutiny coaching staff and represent the Mutiny in the USYSA Girls Under-17 Region 1 Summer League. The Girls Under-17 will practice at the same facility and at the same time as the Mutiny senior women's team. It is expected that the Under-17 players will be given opportunities to progress and to participate in some of the activities with the senior team.

Each player selected for the development program will become a part of a Women's Premier Soccer League program.

They will compete in the Region 1 U-17 Summer Division and will be expected to present and conduct themselves

accordingly. Each will receive:

- Mutiny soccer uniform (shirt, shorts and socks).

- Mutiny warm-up jersey.

- Mutiny t-shirt.

- Mutiny bag.

- 2 season passes to all Mutiny home games.

Try out times

Longmeadow High School. Tuesday (27), Wednesday (28), Thursday

(29) May 2003.

Training sessions: Start on Tuesday, June 3 and run every Tuesday and

Thursday until Thursday, August 14 from 6pm-8pm.

Cost of program

Practice & Game Player: $375.00 (not including travel/accommodation costs

for games). These players will benefit from a 11 week development training

program with the New England Mutiny women's team and coaching staff and

represent the Mutiny in the USYSA National Summer League.

Practice only player: $325.00. These players will benefit from a 11-week

development training program with the New England Mutiny women's team and

coaching staff.
