Tiffeny Milbrett is a two category finalist in U.S. Soccer "Best of" Awards

Best U.S. Goal

November 9, 2002 Gold Cup Final match versus Canada. Lilly dribbled right at Candace Chapman, perhaps Canada's fastest player, beating her to the outside finishi g with a driving cross cross into the middle. Milbrett was positioned just behind defender Silvana Burtini at the top of the six-yard box and timed her run perfectly to dart in front of the Canadian left back and hit a superb first time left footed volley over goalkeeper Karina LeBlanc and into the roof of the net to give the U.S. a 1-0 lead in the Women's Gold Cup Final.

Best U.S. Single Game Performance

Awarded to the one U.S. National Team player who took the team on his or her shoulders and put their respective team in position to win with their outstanding, if not dominating, individual performance. The importance of the match in which the noteworthy performance occurred is taken into consideration.
