Goals For Life Women's Charity Soccer Tournament

Goals for Life, Inc. is an Essex County, New Jersey-based non-profit corporation founded by novice soccer-playing moms, whose mission is to raise money for worthy causes. On Saturday, June 9 at Brookdale Park in Essex County, NJ, Goals for Life is staging the First Annmual Goals for Life Women's Charity Soccer Tournament to raise funds toward eradicating breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. All proceeds will benefit the North Jersey Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

WHEN: Saturday, June 9, 2001, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

WHERE: Brookdale Park, Essex County, New Jersey

FORMAT: 40 women's teams will compete in 11 versus 11 matches; refreshments, entertainment, charity raffles will be available throughout the day

FEE: Team entry fee is $300.00

No charge to spectators; donations accepted

BACKGROUND: Goals for Life, Inc. is an Essex County-based non-profit corporation, founded by novice soccer-playing moms, whose mission is to raise money for worthy causes. This year, Goals for Life, Inc. is staging the Goals for Life Women's Soccer Tournament; proceeds will be donated to the North Jersey Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
