FIFA announces date and cities for FIFA First Under-19 World Championship

The FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship will take place from August, 17 to Sepember 1, 2002, in Edmonton, Vancouver and Victoria. The event has already attracted nearly 100 teams contesting the 12 finalist places. The U.S. Under-19 women will attempt to qualify at a CONCACAF tournament next spring.
