Sonia Denoncourt to head new FIFA\ Women’s Referee Development program

Former Canadian FIFA referee Sonia Denoncourt, who has been the Director of Referee Development for the Canadian Soccer Association since April, 2001, will take charge of the newly formed FIFA women’s referee development program in Zurich for FIFA in December.

She was nominated as a FIFA Instructor in early January 2004 and has worked for FIFA as a referee instructor and administrator at several major tournaments.

Her resume includes the 2003 World Cup Semi-final between Germany and USA, 2000 Olympic Final in Sydney, Australia,and matches in the 1996 Atlanta Games, 1995, 1999 World Cup.
