Philadelphia Pirates announce the signing of former Chinese international star Zhang Ouying for the 2006 Season

Zhang had more than 80 international appearances, and 25 goals for China, and Head Coach Dave Jones believes that her international quality, experience and talent will add a new dimension to the team.

The squad’s international players include four from Brazil- Paula Lannes, Quiela, Luciana and Marianna Navarro, one from England- Claire Sykes, one from Canada- Kelly Lewicki, and one from Sweden- Maria Sonnerborg.

The Pirates will host a WPSL Pre-Season Exhibition Round Robin tournament on the 3rd / 4th / and 5th of March. The Orlando Falcons, NY Pelham, Steel City Sparks and the Philadelphia Pirates are the teams involoved.
