New England Mutiny to play University of Massachusetts in exhibition game

The New England Mutiny will be playing the University of Massachusetts Minutewomen in an exhibition match on Saturday, April 24th at 5:00 p.m. at Rudd Field on the UMass campus in Amherst, MA.

This match will serve both as a fundraiser for the UMass Women's Soccer program and a preseason tuneup for New England. Admission will be $3 for adults, $2 for senior citizens & children and tickets will be available at

the door. Raffle prizes will include a UMass/New England Mutiny Prize Pack and after the match, both teams will host a autograph session for all their fans.

Hege Lauvik (Bergen, Norway),

Laura Seymour (Westfield, MA)

2003 All-WPSL forward Rachel LeDuc (Longmeadow, MA), who will be returning to Amherst to face her alma mater.

Due to NCAA regulations, college players are not eligible for competition until May 1st. New England will be without their collegiate signings for this match, and will use this exhibition as a tryout opportunity for the few remaining spots left on the Mutiny roster.

Directions to Rudd Field, UMass-Amherst, Amherst, MA.

From the North Route 91 South to Exit 25. At the end of the ramp turn left and follow the road to the intersection. Turn right onto Routes 5 & 10 South. Go 1 mile, then left onto 116 South, then eight miles to UMass exit. Take a left at the end of the ramp onto Massachusetts Avenue. Rudd Field will be on the right side of the road.

From the South Route 91 North to Exit 19 (Northampton/Amherst). Right onto Route 9 and go approximately five miles. Take a left onto Route 116 North (across from Staples) and follow for one mile to UMass exit. Take a right off the ramp on to Massachusetts Avenue. Rudd Field will be on the right side of the road.

From the East Mass Pike (Route 90) West to Exit 4 (West Springfield) onto Route 91 North to Exit 19 (Northampton/Amherst). Right onto Route 9 and go approximately five miles. Take a left onto Route 116 North (across from Staples) and follow for one mile to UMass exit. Take a right off the ramp on to Massachusetts Avenue. Rudd Field will be on the right side of the road.

From the West Mass Pike (Route 90) East to Exit 4 (West Springfield) onto Route 91 North to Exit 19 (Northampton/Amherst). Right onto Route 9 and go approximately five miles. Take a left onto Route 116 North (across from Staples) and follow for one mile to UMass exit. Take a right off the ramp on to Massachusetts Avenue. Rudd Field will be on the right side of the road.
