California Storm loses to Japan National Team

The Storm fell behind 1-0 at halftime then scored a goal by Laura Schott early in the second half. A well-coached Japan scored three unanswered goals with their fast paced game.

Keri Sanchez left the game in the 6th minute after suffering a compound fracture of her right wrist, but is expected to fully recover in 8 - 12 weeks.

The California Storm will play two exhibition games. The first against Santa Clara University at 1:00 p.m. on April 3rd at Santa Clara Soccer Park (cross streets are Centennial Boulevard and Tasman Drive). The second at the University of Pacific Soccer Tournament from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on April 4th in Stockton. Admission to both events is free.
