Twenty three player National Team roster for four day training camp

Briana Scurry returns after two years to the national team training squad after regaining her World Cup 99 form while playing for WUSA Atlanta Beat.

Scurry went to high school just 10 minutes from the National Sports Center at Anoka, where she was an All-American.

Coach Heinrichs will use this pre-match training camp to pick 18 players to play Norway. She has called in two stars of the U.S. Under-19 National Team , Jill Oakes and forward Heather O'Reilly.

The Norway game is part of the preparation needed for Heinrichs a team to qualify for the 2003 Women's World Cup in China.  The USA's qualification tournament will be the CONCACAF Gold Cup, being held from Oct. 27-Nov. 9, 2002, at four west coast venues.       

Norway will play Canada in Toronto on July 17 before the USA game. WUSA players Hege Riise ,Unni Lehn, Anita Rapp and Linda Ormen are part of their roster.

U.S. and world all-time caps leader Kristine Lilly was requested for the Norway match, but the Boston Breakers retained her for their weekend WUSA match against the Atlanta Beat.
