U.S.
National Team pool begin six month residency training for FIFA World Cup
2007
The camp begins
on April 2nd. at the Home Depot Center, Carson, California and will continue
until the beginning of the CONCACAF FIFA World Cup 2007 qualifier tournamen.
The players will train for three weeks followed by one week off each month.
They will start
with a roster of twenty-five players which will change at times with other
players being called in for trial periods. Any college players invited
will join at the end of their spring term.
Amy Rodriguez (USC, Lauren Cheney (UCLA in Fall ’06), Angie Woznuk
(Portland), Stephanie Lopez (Portland) and India Trotter (Florida State)
are amongst those already so named.
