U.S. Under-19 National Team in Portland

The U.S. squad finished its two day training in Portland. this afternoon at the sun-soaked Ronaldo Fields on the campus of the NIKE World Headquarters. They played a team of local collegians (University of Portland and the University of Washington), and won 2-0 with goals from Manya Makoski and Lindsay Tarpley. They leave tomorrow morning for Victoria, B.C.The team will take a five-hour bus ride through Oregon and Washington to the USA-Canadian border. After going through customs they re-board the bus which goes onto a ferry for a one-hour cruise that will take them to Vancouver Island and Victoria..
