Game
The U.S. U-19 players showed their superiority with a goal scoring show
today against the Jamaica U-19 squad with seven goals in the first half
and five in the second. Tthey play will face Canada on Sunday in Ft. Lauderdale,
in their last warmup before the regional qualifying tournament
in Trinidad & Tobago from May 7-11, 2002. USA in Group B and Jamaica is
in Group A.

It was a great performance
and a great result for our team and another valuable experience in CONCACAF
regional play. We learned about a new style of play against Jamaica and
finished well. As always, we are proud of the team and ready for Tobago.
We have one game left on American soil and this team is beaming with energy.
Canada is always tough and they are physical and have a lot of heart.
They've had a lot of matches as well and are very excited to put on a
good show in their home country this fall. The last year and half has
been valuable for a lot of players. Definitely some have emerged as impact
players and many have made a strong run for a
roster spot. Picking the final team will not be an easy task.
