Game

Easily the best international game played this year. Both teams peaking for the Athens Olympic Games. The fast physical pace was maintained to the end in a game played from side to side and end to end of the pitch by two equally matched teams almost at the top of their game. The U.S. squad had the edge in this match because of its superior finishing, a part of China's game that is improving but has always been its weakest link.

Of all the top teams seen this past year, only China has had the courage and ability to take on the United States in open field attacking play, and it was a delight to watch these two longtime talented rivals show how the game should be played.
