Hampton Road Piranhas schedule for the 2002 W-league (W-1 & W-2 leagues combined this year)

In this first season of the newly formed W-league the Piranhas have a busy season ahead of them. John Germanos continues as their head coach and expects another successful season for the team. New teams like Greensboro and Ashville, and Ex-W-2 league team the Northern Virginia Majestics will add to the competition, as the Piranhas squad continues its rivalry with Charlotte, Jacksonville, and Tampa Bay.

Marcie Lehmann , Director of Operations is quoted as saying, “Not only do we have a great schedule for 2002, but we will also have the opportunity to play doubleheaders with the Mariners, which should help us build a bigger fan base."
