W-1 Allen and W-2 Reinshagen are W- Leagues' Players of the Week

W-1 Player of the Week Amber Allen

The Vancouver Breakers moved back into the top spot in the W-1 Western Conference this weekend behind the performance of Amber Allen, who was named the W-1 Player of the Week. Allen struck for four straight goals in a 6-0 rout of the Arizona Heatwave Friday, becoming the first woman, fourth player overall, in Vancouver soccer history to score four goals in a game. Her predecessors are David Cross (1984) of the NASL's Whitecaps, and Domenic Mobilio (1991) and Niall Thompson (1999) of the A-League's 86ers. Allen also added the game-winner in a 2-0 victory over the provisional Portland Rain Sunday.

W-2 Player of the Week Christie Reinshagen

The Cincinnati Ladyhawks, trying to keep pace with the 2000 W-1 Champion Chicago Cobras, picked up a big win Sunday with the help of forward Christie Reinshagen, who was named the W-2 Player of the Week. Reinshagen recorded a hat-trick in the 4-0 victory over the Cleveland Eclipse, keeping the Ladyhawks within seven points of the Cobras with three games remaining for both clubs .
