Laura Beeman and Colby Owen sign with Hampton Roads Piranhas

Laura Beeman, a senior at Old Dominion has been a constant on the ODU Deans List and a three time recipient of the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award. She was CAA Player of the Year in 2005 after leading the conference with 16 goals and 35 points for the season.

Colby Owen, a freshman goalkeeper at Old Dominion and a two sport athlete from Cox High School. A team captain, she won the Outstanding Defender Award and led her team to three district and regional championships and three state quarterfinals.

The Piranhas’ season starts Saturday, May 13th. at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex when they play the Richmond Kickers Destiny.
