Indiana Blaze beat the Cleveland Eclipse 1-0 giving the Blaze their third win in a row. The two teams battled at both ends, trying to gain an advantage and take the early lead. Indiana's defense proved to be up to the challenge and kept Cleveland from any serious offensive threats. In the 27th minute Joy Aschenbrener was awarded a penalty kick, and put it into the lower right hand corner. Holding on to this narrow lead Indiana's defense gave nothing to the Eclipse attackers, keeping them scoreless the entire game. "This was the best team effort I've seen since I've been coaching the Blaze," said Coach Behringer. "I couldn't even pick out a player of the game, this was a total team effort." The Indiana Blaze return home this Friday, June 22 at 8:35PM against the Windy City Bluez. White Castle, a proud sponsor of the Indiana Blaze and Blast, will hold a pre-game tailgate party before the game. The first 300 fans in the gate after 6:35PM will receive two burgers and a Coke.
