It was an even game for the Indiana Blaze against the Kentucky Fillies for most of the first half until the Fillies knocked in a goal in the 36th minute. Kentucky played a long ball forward to Kristin Robertson who beat Blaze goalkeeper Heather Combs from a tough angle. Indiana picked up the intensity in the second half out-shooting the Fillies 5-3 but were unable to capitalize on any of them. "We had two great chances in the second half. Lisa (Tecklenberg) had one hit the cross bar, and we had another point-blank shot saved," said Behringer. "We need to get better at finishing, but we should be fine as the season goes on." Blaze players held an hour-long free clinic and autograph session for a large group of Girl Scouts before the game. The Blaze players worked on shooting, passing and ball control with over 50 girls. The next game for the Blaze will be Friday, May 25 at Kuntz Stadium with the kickoff time set for 8:35pm.
