TEAMS 2001 SCHEDULE STANDINGS RESULTS

Piranhas' players Kelly Golebiowski and Kathy Hoverman named to W-League All -Atlantic Team

Golebiowski, a member of the Australian National team, lead the Piranhas in scoring for the second consecutive year. She finished the 2002 regular season with 10 goals and 6 assists, for 26 points. She added another 4 goals and 4 assists during the 3 game playoff series. Golebiowski is currently in camp with the Australian National team, which will take her to Canada and China for games over the next 4 weeks. In October the Matildas return to the USA to participate in the Nike Cup.

Kathy Hoverman, who was called up to the Washington Freedom of the WUSA, recorded a 0.80 GAA for the season. This was the lowest of any W-League keeper. She was named W-League Goalkeeper of the Year in August. She is currently in camp with the Washington Freedom.
