WSU players receive Pac-10 Academic Team Honors

Pac-10 First Team honors

Niki Ironside, a senior from Kent, Washington is making her third appearance on the first team. She has a 3.97 grade point average majoring in Education. Ironside started all 20 matches in 2002 with two assists.

Shay Hobby, a junior from Danville, California had earned second team All-Academic honors in 2001. She started all 57 matches in her Cougar career at defender. She is majoring in Business Administration and carries a 3.87 grade point average.

Megan Cecchini, a sophomore from Tualatin, Oregon is on the first team in her first year of eligibility. Cecchini started 11 matches for Washington State in 2002, and 14 as a freshman. She earned a 3.81 grade point average in Biology.

Pac-10 Second Team honors

Senior Katrina Stroh is third on Washington Statešs career list for points and goals. She earned a 3.62 grade point average in Communications.

Mariette Boyce started 19 matches this season and scored two goals. She earned a 3.75grade point in Psychology.

Kim Morgan with 15 points this season, and Christie Spear, third on the team with six assists, received honorable mention.
