Post game quote

WSU Head Coach Matt Potter

We had talked to Nicole about playing a little bit wider so she could take people on and it paid dividends today.

Particularly in the first half I thought the quality of the type of finishes we tried was good. There was more of a thought process going into the shots we took and more of our shots stood a chance of going in. Nicole (Wilcox) had a very good game today. She was smart in the runs she made and had two very good finishes that she deserved because of the hard work she put into the game. A positive to take away from this game is that we had players that showed

they can step-up and play some valuable minutes for us and contribute. It is also nice to walk away with a clean sheet. Even when they broke through Katie (Hultin) came up with a wonderful save.

The Cougars start Pacific-10 play next weekend at Los Angeles playing UCLA on Friday, October 9th. at 5 p.m.
