We are happy to get our first two shutouts of the season against a solid UAB team and a team in Weber State that we did not know much about. It is great to come out on top in our first weekend of a long road trip.

It was fun for Katy Dowling to score our first goal by a freshman and almost our first goal by someone other than a senior. We got a chance to play a lot of people today and get a look a some who had not played much this year.

Tournament Champion

Host Portland defeated Weber State 4-0 on Friday and UAB 3-0 Sunday. They were declared the tournament champion by virtue of a superior goal differential over Washington.
