University of Washington signs nine student-athletes

 

Colby Branham

A forward Colby Branham from Washington (Bellarmine Prep High School, Tacoma). She scored 20 goals during her senior season and was the 2003 Narrows League co-Most Valuable Player. She was a first-team All-State selection.

Dana Stirn

A defender from Washington (Bellarmine Prep High School, Tacoma). She was a 2003 All-State pick after leading Bellarmine Prep to a 22-1 record and state runner-up finish.

Lizzy Showman

A goalkeeper from Washington (Seattle Prep High School). She received All-Metro League honors each of the last two years, and received honorable mention all-state honors in 2002 and 2003.

Sophie Spikard

A midfielder from Washington (Roosevelt High School, Seattle). She led all KingCo players with 10 assists in 2003, earning all-conference accolades in the process.

Dani Bridges

A midfielder from Maple Valley, Washington(Tahoma High School). An All-South Puget Sound League selection, she led Tahoma to an undefeated season in 2002 capped by the state championship.

Whitney Clark

A defender from Washington (Gig Harbor High School). She is a four-time All-Narrows League pick as a defender, and led her prep squad to a league title and quarter-final state in 2002. Gig Harbor placed fifth at the 2003 state tournament.

Robin Alexander

A midfielder from Broomfield, Colorado (Legacy High School). She was a three-time All-Front Range League selection while leading to a pair of state semifinal appearances.

Katy Dowling

A forward from California (Mater Dei High School). She was the top scorer in the Serra League, and was an accomplished club competitor for the SoCal Blues that team won the 2002 Southern California state title.

Dana Johnson

A midfielder from San Jose, California (Santa Teresa High )School. She was a member of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) national pool the last four years,and received first-team All-CentralCoast Section recognition both seasons that she played for her high school.
