University of Washington signs eight high school student athletes

Eight outstanding players, including three from California, signed letters of intent to attend the University of Washington.

Players

Forward Melissa Beal from Portland, Oregon (St. Mary's Academy)

Goalkeeper Taylor Carr from Culver City, California (Marymount High School)

Midfielder Erin Foley from Seattle, Washington (Bishop Blanchet High School)

Midfielder Katie Gregoire from Clayton, California (Carondelet High School)

Defender Katie Hall from Woodinville, Washington (Woodinville High School)

Forward Tara Hodgson from Franklin, Tennessee (Battle Ground Academy)

Defender Jenna Kozakiewicz from Phoenix, Arizona (Westview High School)

Midfielder Jenna Robison from Livermore, California (Granada High School)

"This group is very skillful and very knowledgeable about the game of soccer,"said Washington Head Coach Lesle Gallimore. "All of them have had great club soccer experience and have been coached by some of the best youth coaches in America."
