Senior Jaime Carstensen scored the tying goal for Washington as they played to a 1-1 double-overtime stand-off with No. 18 Connecticut in the first round. It was the fourth overtime game in five matches this season for Washington.

We definitely controlled the run of play and had plenty of opportunities, but we didn't shoot on frame. It's frustrating to play overtime again and not get a result, but Connecticut is a very good team.
