UCLA draws at home to UC Santa Barbara

In its home opener UCLA played to a scoreless draw with UC Santa Barbara. With the tie, UCLA is 1-0-2 and UCSB is 1-1-1.

The Bruins had several scoring opportunities in the match, outshooting the Gauchos, 19-7 on the night. UCLA1s best scoring opportunity came in the 14th minute of overtime, when midfielder Stacy Lindstrom nearly put in a short-range shot in the box. However, UCSB goalkeeper Jamie Considine was just able to get a finger on it and push it away. Considine finished with seven saves on the evening.

Bruin Iris Mora recorded a game-high five shots and Sarah-Gayle Swanson had four. UCSB Krystal Sandza led the Gauchos with two shots.

This Friday UCLA plays St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Spaulding Field.
