Tenessee wins SEC Championship for the first time with second overtime victory over Florida

Florida scored early on a communication error between the Tennessee keeper and defense, and then retreated into a bunker defense allowing Tenessee to mount an almost continuous attacking game. With brilliant goalkeeping and the physical presence of at least ten players stuck in their back 30 yards, Florida somehow managed to keep a barrage of shots out of the net until less than a minute of the second overtime.

It was Florida's first loss after six SEC Championships.
