Richmond midfielder Edda Gardarsdottir earns All-Atlantic 10 First Team honors

Junior midfielder Edda Gardarsdottir, a two-time All-Atlantic 10 First Team

honoree,scored three goals and five assists in sixteen games this fall. A native of Reykjavik, Iceland, Gardarsdottir tied for fifth on the team in points, but her biggest contribution was controlling the flow of the game.

Senior back Anne Rieser, selected to the Atlantic 10 Second Team, comes from Middletown, Maryland. She has been a consistent force in the Spiders' defense for the past three years. After receiving a medical redshirt in 1999, Rieser has started 54 of Richmond's 58 matches. She helped hold league opponents to just 12 goals in 18 matches this fall.

Freshman forward Annette Isham , selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team burst onto the Richmond scene, ranking second on the team with six goals and six assists (18 points), during her freshman season. A native of Denver, Colorado tied for seventh in the A-10 in assists and tied for 10th in points. She scored two game-winning goals, and had two career high goals in a 2-1 win against Duquesne.
